the musicians will exchange their instruments
for materials coming from the metalwork shop
- from different pipes and sheet metal, welder
up to wire-violin,wire-harp, anvil, barrels,
hammers which weigh about 6 tons.

Opposite to known heavy-metal-music
this composition will be quite gentle
and delicate with subtile "techno-sounds"
on the one hand and the human voice -
mezzosoprano and alto - on the other.

"Österreichisches Schmiedetreffen"
organized by Burgi and Hans Neuschmid

the première of "Schwermetall" was on
September 3rd 1997 at the smithy of
Joseph Niederbacher / Imst
